SIAC – Promoting a Safe Use of Internet Against Cyberbullying

Aims of the project:

• to understand the extent, seriousness, and dynamics of cyberbullying,
• to recognize and respond early and effectively to behaviours that can lead to cyberbullying,
• to learn about new, effective strategies for controlling bullying,
• to raise awareness among the youngest regarding the problems that emerge from a wrong use of the internet, such as social media and
• to improve young peoples’ digital literacy and the use of technology in a safe way.

Target groups:

• Young people between the ages of 12 and 18 wishing to learn more about a safe use of the Internet
• Young people who have suffered from cyberbullying.
• Youth worker organisations, educators, trainers, youth workers, mentors, and other categories working with youths.

Results

• Preventing Cyberbullying: Curriculum and implementation
• An Accredited e-course for cyberbullying prevention
• An E-book consolidating and comparing the learning from the project and including policy recommendations
